Mobile What?

Mobile Gaming?

WTF is that? You call that gaming? I cant believe the crap they been sayin lately. Talkin about some kind of revolution? What exactly are these guys talkin about? Well, I'm guessin they are just starin at a piece of paper that shows a bunch of graphs showin how much customers have been purchasing and installing new game apps. But, lets think about this for a second. I cant recall ever being absorbed in any of these mobile games. I downloaded tons of them and I mean tons of them. Every thing from those outraged birds to that wacky jetpack game. Sure they can be quite fun for a few minutes a day.

However, I find these games lose my interest very quickly. So I start downloading other games to find something else to kill time with while i'm sitting on the toilet or waiting for the dentist. The competition between Apple and Android ( Google ) is fierce these days. Apple being the better side for mobile "gaming" because Android seems to get these crappy flush the toilet or pop the pimple type of games(They do get some decent ones though, check out mobage).

My point is this. All these mobile games will never compare to console or PC games. Its like taking a step back 10 years except you can touch a screen. Which just makes some of the games barely playable sometimes. You cant get any sort of immersion from them either. How could you when your playing on an overpriced cell phone worrying about your battery life. Calling it Gaming is obsurd! Sure once they bust out that Ouya console

Things might get a bit more interesting for "mobile gaming". But you cant really call it mobile then can you. So go ahead and download that new free game of the week or something. Take a seat on that white ceramic chair and enjoy tapping your cell phone screen. You just ate a giant burrito from el faro's and its got to go. Ya, that just happened.
